I'm a teacher by profession, and a digital artist with way too much schooling under my belt. I believe people define themselves, and no other person (let alone state) can tell you who you are. Love matters in the world--even small kindnesses ripple outward to the shores of all things. I'm only guaranteed one life, so I'm trying to make it a good one. It's been a long road, and I'm on this site because I have fond memories of what Livejournal used to be in the early 2000's. Hoping to make some friends here, but mostly, just treating this as a haven from all the toxicity of modern social media. I want to be where the streetlamps come on early and winter snowflakes fall in perfect verticals. You'll probably hear me whispering a prayer at dusk. We don't have to be that close to take care with each other, and I like to get glimpses through other people's eyes. It's how we get better.
